KAMLOOPS — Here's how you can celebrate Mother's Day this weekend around the city.
Downtown Kamloops will be busy on Sunday with Springfest taking place throughout various locations on Mother's Day. There will be live music at two stage locations, live art demonstrations, family friendly activities, face painting and a photo studio where you can drop in and get a family photo with photographer Emily May Olson.

Romeo's at The Coast Kamloops Hotel and Conference Centre is having a brunch buffet special on May 12 to celebrate Mother's Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Some of the featuring menu items include waffles, bacon, sausages, a seafood bar, fresh fruit, desserts and more. Romeo's says there will also be a gift for all moms in attendance. The restaurant is also opening up their patio for the Mother's Day Brunch. For more information on prices go here.
Treat your mothee at the B.C. Wildlife Park on Sunday at the second annual Mother's Day Market. The market will have more than 30 local vendors. There will be face painting provided by the Kamloops Art Party, Uncle Chris the Clown will be there doing two special magic shows, 50/50 draws, a barbecue and plenty of opportunities to engage with the park's animals. The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m, go here for more information.
The Love Hard Kamloops Society will be hosting 'For the Love of Moms' to celebrate all mothers throughtout the city. Join the community group for food, gifts and live entertainment. The event is open to expectant moms, foster moms, street moms.
"This event is also for those that miss their moms, you're welcome here," Love Hard Kamloops says on a post on Facebook.
The event will take place at the Kamloops Odd Fellows & Rebekahs Halls Society at 423 Tranquille Rd. from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Saturday May 11 and Sunday May 12, you can celebrate Mother's Day at Yoga Loft Kamloops. If you head down to the yoga studio with your mom on one of the two days, one of you will receive a free yoga class. Just let staff know when you check in that you're there for the Mother's Day special. If your mom can't make it, bring your favourite aunt, family friend or "heart-mom" says Yoga Loft in a Facebook post. Go here for more information.

The McDonald Park Neighbourhood Association and North Shore Central Community Association are teaming up to host the first annual community garage sale.
