Firework shot in front of aircraft flying over Penticton

A Cessna 172 aircraft was flying over Penticton when a firework was shot at the plane yesterday night, Oct. 19, 2020.

An aircraft attempting to land at Penticton airport reported having a firework shot in front of it yesterday.

A report from Transport Canada says a BP Aviation Cessna 172M was about to land in Penticton last night, Oct.19, when a firework was shot in front of the aircraft.

No damage was reported. The firework is believed to have originated from the school field of Carmi Elementary, near Penticton Regional Hospital.

The incident was reported to the RCMP.
