VERNON - Firefighters were called out to battle a vigorous vehicle fire Monday evening.
The fire, which happened around 9:30 p.m., Oct. 19, in the 8800 block of Rising View Way in Vernon, left a pickup truck fully engulfed in flames.
The Vernon Fire Department hit the fire hard, and were able to extinguish it. The truck was destroyed.
RCMP Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy says the truck was seized for examination and while police are investigating the fire, they are not confirming it as suspicious.
Three other vehicles were destroyed by fire last week on Davidson Road, and that incident is considered suspicious.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Vernon RCMP detachment at 250-545-7171 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
