PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP responded to a fire that destroyed a cabin on White Lake Road last week.
Police spokesperson Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says the fire occurred at 1669 White Lake Road on Thursday, March 16.
The resident advised police he’d started a fire in the wood stove, which resulted in a chimney fire.
The stove pipe dislodged and the fire spread to the rest of the structure, burning it to the ground.
The cabin was not supplied with power or water, and was located outside of the Kereremeos, Kaleden and Willowbrook fire protection areas.
