PENTICTON - Weather shouldn’t factor into anyone’s choices for events this weekend, with a forecast that should go hand in hand with any outdoor activity planned for a mid-October weekend in the South Okanagan.

Sunday's weather should be ideal at Penticton Speedway as the venue hosts its Drifters - OK Round 3 at the speedway on Carmi Avenue, on Sunday, Oct. 21 starting at 12 p.m. It’s one of the final events of the season at the quarter mile oval racetrack.

For more information see the Penticton Speedway website.

The Brothers Osborne and Friends bring their brand of country music to the South Okanagan Events Centre today, Oct. 19, starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $35 and $45 and can be purchased at ValleyFirstTix.com

The Booktoberfest Dirty Book Sale is on at the Penticton Public Library on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information contact the library information desk at 250-770-7782.

It’s time for the 9th annual Oktoberfest at the Penticton Lakeside Resort and Convention Centre on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Enjoy a night of great food and beverages and be prepared to hit the dance floor. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. For more information see the Penticton Oktoberfest website.

Rod and the Mods perform at Frank Venables Theatre in Oliver Saturday, Oct. 20 starting at 7:30 p.m.

Brent Stewart is a Rod Stewart tribute artist who sets a new high standard for Rod Stewart tribute artists, complete with stylish suits and Stewart’s signature stage moves. Even his voice is hard to discern from the original Rod.
