KAMLOOPS - The City of Kamloops will be conducting the fourth of the four scheduled emergency repair to the Juniper Water Booster Station. The repair is scheduled to take place today, March 23, between the hours of 8 a.m. and approximately 7 p.m.

During the work, water supply to the Valleyview pressure zone will be supplied from the North Shore reservoirs. North Kamloops, Brocklehurst, Westsyde and Valleyview may experience lower than normal water pressure with a possibility of increased turbidity during the work.

The water supply in the above mentioned areas may be discoloured due to disturbed deposits in pipes — it is not harmful as the water has been disinfected. Air may also be present in the piping. Running a cold water faucet should eliminate both air and discoloured water problems.

Work will continue to affect the roadway so residents of Juniper Ridge traveling on Highland Drive may encounter possible delays due to the construction through March 31.
