Touring exhibition based on Tim Burton's 'Frankenweenie' to stop in Toronto

TORONTO - With "Frankenweenie" months away from hitting theatres, Tim Burton fans in Toronto are in for a treat.

A touring exhibition featuring art behind the new stop-motion film will make a stop at Fan Expo Canada from Aug. 23-26.

The exhibit features original sketches drawn by Burton as well as extensive props, sets and puppets.

Opening on Oct. 5, the film is about a boy who brings his beloved dog back from the dead.

"Frankenweenie" features voice work by Winona Ryder, Martin Landau and Canadians Catherine O'Hara and Martin Short.

The exhibition will also make stops in Spain, France, England, Japan, Mexico and at San Diego's Comic-Con.
