Ottawa Redblacks fined by CFL for practising with an ineligible player

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Redblacks were fined $5000 by the Canadian Football League on Monday for practising with a player on the six-game injured list.

This action is a violation of CFL bylaws.

The Redblacks will also have $6,761 deducted from their 2016 salary cap.

Neither the team nor the league have disclosed who practised illegally.
