REGINA - The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed offensive lineman Brett Boyko.

The six-foot-seven, 305-pound Saskatoon native played 15 games for the B.C. Lions in 2019, his first season in the CFL.

The Lions drafted Boyko in the second round (14th overall) of the CFL draft out of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, but he started his professional career south of the border.

Boyko signed with the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2015 and spent the season on their practice roster.

He then spent three seasons with the San Diego Chargers, appearing in one NFL game.

He was then a member of the San Diego Fleet of the AAF before the league ceased operations.
