MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Noel Prefontaine will undergo hip surgery and is unsure if he will ever kick another field goal for the Toronto Argonauts.
The 15-year CFL veteran says he has been bothered by the ailment for years but has managed to always play through out.
But the injury has deteriorated to the point where it is impacting Prefontaine's kicking mechanics.
And Prefontaine admits the surgery is indeed career-threatening.
Prefontaine leads the CFL in scoring with 37 points but has made 10-of-15 field goals and has had missed attempts returned for touchdown in Toronto's last two games.
