American defensive back D'Angelo Amos joins bother in Toronto Argonauts secondary

TORONTO, Kan. - The Toronto Argonauts are keeping it in the family.

Toronto signed American defensive back D'Angelo Amos on Thursday. Amos joins his brother, DeShaun, also a defensive back, in the Argos' secondary.

D'Angelo Amos spent part of last year with the NFL's Detroit Lions. The six-foot-one, 185-pound defensive back played collegiately at Virginia (2020) and James Madison (2017-19).

He recorded 47 tackles (three for a loss) and two interceptions in 10 games for the Cavaliers. Before that, Amos had 135 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, three fumble recoveries and four blocks in 44 contests with James Madison.

Amos also registered 76 punt returns for 1,259 yards and five return TDs.
