KAMLOOPS - With warm temperatures expected in Kamloops this weekend, there are plenty of events to get you out and about.

If you're willing to drive outside the city to get some exercise, the 5K Foam Fest is being held in Sun Peaks on Saturday. According to the event's Facebook page, the 5K Foam Fest is an obstacle course fun run, which includes the world's largest inflatable waterslide, mud pits, and more than two million cubic feet of foam. There will be music, a free kids zone for ages seven and under, food and beer gardens.

The first wave's start time is at 8 a.m. and then every 15 minutes until 3 p.m. For more information on the event, go here.

To have your say on what you want downtown Kamloops to look like, the city is hosting an open house on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Hotel 540. You can RSVP via email here if you want to attend.

The Walk for ALS will be taking place in downtown Kamloops on Saturday, June 16, starting at Riverside Park. The walk begins at 9 a.m. and funds raised go toward supporting Canadians suffering from ALS. For more information on the walk, you can go here.

Dust off your wizard robes and bring out your wands for this event. On Saturday night, Kamloops's local improv group the Freudian Slips will be presenting an improvised Harry Potter comedy.

The audience will get to voice their suggestions to the improv group. The event will take place at the Stage House Theatre at 422 Tranquille Road. Doors and bar open at 7:30 p.m., and the show begins at 8 p.m. An audience of 16 years old and above is advised. Tickets are $15 in advance here, or $20 at the door with cash. For more information, go here.

On Father's Day, Red Collar is hosting an open mic night on the patio at 355 Lansdowne Street. There will be entertainment and beer specials.

Following that, there will be performances at the Blue Grotto by local performers. Go here for more information on the event.
