Fatal single vehicle crash near Salmon Arm

A 58-year-old man is dead after a single vehicle collision near Salmon Arm.

Police and paramedics attended the scene on Friday, Jan. 28, where a vehicle was reported to be in the ditch on the 8000 block of Black Road, according to a Salmon Arm RCMP news release.

The vehicle lost control on a curve, rolled and hit a tree, police said.

The man, an area resident, was found dead inside the locked vehicle when emergency crews arrived on the scene.

Evidence at the scene indicated the man was not wearing a seatbelt, RCMP said.
