SALMON ARM - A head-on collision between a commercial vehicle and a passenger vehicle led to the death of one person this afternoon and closed Highway 97B.

The crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. today, March 11 on Highway 97B near Hudson Road, south of Salmon Arm.

Both lanes of the highway are closed but there is a detour in place as the collision is being investigated, according to an RCMP press release.
