KAMLOOPS - Kamloops drivers should anticipate some delays on Westsyde Road this week as a new traffic light is put in place.

The City of Kamloops says in a news release the traffic signal will be installed on Westsyde Road at Grasslands Boulevard as part of the Grasslands Boulevard road improvement project.

Drivers should expect traffic disruptions at the intersection and the city is reminding people to obey traffic control personnel and equipment when in the vicinity.

Anticipated hours of work are Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. with possible weekend and night work.

The traffic signals are anticipated to start operating during September. Go here for construction updates.
