Evacuation Order issued for Bonaparte and Criss Creek area

BONAPARTE -  An evacuation order has been issued by the Thompson-Nicola Regional District for Bonaparte and Criss Creek areas.

Today, Aug. 12, TNRD stated in a release that located in Electoral Areas “E”, “J”, and “O” a rapidly moving wildfire is threatening properties in the area and there is the potential danger to life and health.

Properties on evacuation order include:

  • 9221, 9593 Clinton-Upper Loon Lake FSR
  • 4000 Leblond Rd
  • 2932 Sabiston Creek FSR
  • 7900, 8185 Seven Lakes Rd
  • 7788 Savona Station Rd
  • 3381-4360, 6620 Jamieson-Spruce Grove FSR
  • 4595- 7750 Tranquille –Criss Creek Rd
  • 9628-10096 Bonaparte-Spur Lake FSR
  • 5160-5450 Bonaparte Lake
  • 5128-5720 Machete Lake North Rd
  • 5250, 5440, 9249, 9715 Machete Lake Rd
  • 3515-5670 Eagan-Bonaparte Lake FSR
  • 8385-9055 Eagan Lake Rd
  • 8928-9220 Eagan Cres
  • 3389-3493 Red Lake Dr
  • 2996-3069 Reed Rd
  • 8856-8904 Cleveland Rd
  • 1880-3880 Copper Creek Rd
  • 3456-3473 Strom Pl
  • 3401-3409 McBride Rd

If you are in the described area, you must leave immediately.

TNRD suggested that evacuees shut off all gas and electrical appliances, other than refrigerators and freezers.

If you have large animals/livestock in need of shelter, please contact the TNRD EOC at 1-866-377- 7188.

Evacuees should go to the Sandman Centre located at 300 Lorne Street, Kamloops if they require support services such as food and accommodation.

If you do not require these services all evacuees are still required to register with the Red Cross or call 1-800-863-6582.
