More than 50 properties are being evacuated in Okanagan Falls today as Shuttleworth Creek spills its banks.

PENTICTON - The threat of flooding continues to threaten communities in the South Okanagan today.
The Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen has issued an evacuation order for 54 properties in Okanagan Falls today, May 10.
The district says property owners are being evacuated due to danger of flooding as Shuttleworth Creek spills its banks.
Emergency works are being conducted to mitigate risk and return the creek to its normal watercourse. Once the work is complete the situation will be assessed for a decision to allow residents to return to their homes.
Homeowners are being asked to check in with emergency support services at the Penticton Community Centre located at 325 Power St. in Penticton.
The following 54 properties are being evacuated:

1300, 1304, 1305, 1309, 1312, 1313, 1320, 1321, 1329, 1330, 1336, 1337, 1344, 1345, 1349, 1353, 1357, 1360, 1361, 1368, 1369, 1376, and 1377 Brockie Pl.

4637, 4645, 4652, 4653, 4660, 4661, 4669, 4708, 4709, 4716, 4717, 4724, 4725, 4729,4732,and 4740 14th Ave.

Homeowners should check in with emergency services even if they do not intend to utilize any services.
