Evacuation alert rescinded for properties affected by Good Creek wildfire near Kelowna

KELOWNA - Property owners near the Good Creek wildfire can breathe a sigh of relief this afternoon.

Central Okanagan Emergency Operations lifted a an evacuation alert for 15 properties at the south end of Lakeshore Road in today, July 20.

The area is just south of the City of Kelowna boundary and the properties affected by the rescind include the address of 6006 – 8888 Lakeshore Road.

The Good Creek wildfire was discovered Tuesday, July 17, in Okanagan Mountain Park near Kelowna. The fire is an estimated 400 hectares according to B.C. Wildfire’s most recent update.
