MADRID - Spanish police have arrested a fugitive they described as a millionaire and the most-wanted man in Poland.

Spain's National Police identified the man on Saturday only by the initials of M.A.F. They didn't specify when the arrest too place but said the man was located on the Mediterranean coast near the city of Valencia.

Polish authorities issued a European arrest warrant for the man on April 1. Police in Spain say he allegedly fled Poland after being convicted of making illegal audio recordings in a Warsaw restaurant during 2013-14, with the aim of using the recordings for monetary gain.

Spanish police say the man threatened to jump from a balcony after officers found him in a ninth-floor apartment but was taken into custody.
