MADRID - A hospital on Spain's Mediterranean island of Mallorca says that James Bond movie director Guy Hamilton has died at age 93.
Hamilton directed "Goldfinger," ''Diamonds Are Forever," ''Live And Let Die" and "The Man With The Golden Gun."
He lived on Mallorca and the Hospital Juaneda Miramar in Palma de Mallorca said in a statement Thursday that Hamilton died there a day earlier.
The hospital declined to give additional details about his death because of patient confidentiality rules.
Hamilton was credited with raising the profile of James Bond movies through his work with Bond actors Sean Connery and Roger Moore.
Moore tweeted he was "incredibly, incredibly saddened to hear the wonderful director Guy Hamilton has gone to the great cutting room in the sky."
