Norwegian police: US embassy in Oslo and the surrounding area are evacuated due to bomb scare

OSLO - Norwegian police say the U.S. Embassy in Oslo and surrounding buildings have been evacuated after a suspicious object was found beneath a car near the embassy.

Spokesman Martin Todnem says that police have evacuated a 500 metre (yard) area around the embassy and that a bomb squad has been dispatched to the area.
