Moody's lowers Barclays outlook following executive resignations

LONDON - Moody's has lowered its outlook on Barclays' credit rating from stable to negative following the resignation of three senior officials of the bank.
Moody's said Thursday that the change reflected concerns that the resignations of Chief Executive Bob Diamond, Chairman Marcus Agius and Chief Operating Officer Jerry del Missier and the consequent uncertainty about the company's direction are negative for bondholders.
Barclays' short-term debt ratings were unchanged.
