KELOWNA - For the second year in a row, Kelowna crafters can get their Etsy fix in real life, instead of through a computer.
On Sept. 26, Etsy: Made in Canada will be at Sandhill Winery for a free crafters market featuring handmade items from more than 30 Canadian artisans. Last year roughly 3,000 people took part in the market that brings items like children’s’ clothes and toys, household items, art and herbal remedies to one location.
Etsy is a popular online marketplace with more than 50 million users. It was launched in 2005 and now boasts more than 29 million items for sale.
The one day event is part of a national day where the online crafter market makes stops at 33 cities across Canada.
The Kelowna event runs from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 1125 Richter St. Those planning to attend are asked to bring an article of winter clothing, blankets or toiletries to donate to Inn From the Cold.
