Enjoy the outdoors: Okanagan Trail Riders Association is accepting job applications

FILE PHOTO

How's this for a cool job: You get to hang around outside all day, ride a quad or a motorbike, greet people and occasionally run a chainsaw.

The Okanagan Trail Riders Association is searching for someone who fits that bill. They need someone who can sell passes and greet riders at the Bear Creek Off-Highway Vehicle site for the 2020 season.

“If you enjoy being outdoors and working with people this job could be for you,” the association said in an email. “Ideally we are looking for someone with some prior knowledge of the Bear Creek OHV area and who is able to operate a quad or motorcycle. This is a part-time position, three days a week at $160 per day.”

Those who are interested in the site host position are asked to send an email to kent@kentjorgenson.com.

The Bear Creek OHV site contains an extensive network of trails for motorcycles, ATVs and UTVs, covering 85,000 acres. It is the largest recreation site in B.C., according to the association’s website.

A day pass or season’s pass is required to use the trail system.
