There are lots of fun things to do this coming weekend for people of all ages to get out and enjoy together, and here are just a few of them.

The days are getting shorter and it's all about lighting up the night at Peachland’s Family Glow Run this Friday. Everyone is encouraged to bring glow sticks and wear bright clothing as they run or walk the scenic Beach Avenue along Okanagan Lake as night falls for either 3 or 5 kilometres.

The event starts at Peachland’s Heritage Park where friends and families can gather to check in and lace up their running shoes before joining the fun.

The Heritage Park is located downtown at Beach Avenue and First Street where participants are asked to gather between 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29. The race starts at 7:15 p.m.

Children 12 years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult to run the 5K while children ages 6 to 12 old may run in the 3K category without an adult.

Both pre-registration and day-of registration will be accepted for this event and only cash will be accepted on race day. Registration is available online, over the phone (250.767.2133), or in person at the Peachland Community Centre.
