ENDERBY - A 16-year-old Enderby teenager is under investigation for allegedly sending bomb threats to the Montreal airport.

According to a Vernon North Okanagan RCMP media release, over a one month period, several false bomb threats were allegedly made to the Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport, in Montreal, via the internet.

The investigation took police to the home of a 16-year-old Enderby male whose family home was searched.

"During the search warrant, investigators seized multiple electronic devices from the home that will be further examined by police," RCMP Const. Kelly Brett said in the release. "Threats of this nature are taken very seriously by authorities and the consequences for this youth could be life-altering."

The Enderby teenager is facing possible charges in relation to conveying false messages and harassing communications. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
