PENTICTON - Recent break ins to condominium storage lockers and mail boxes have police issuing a caution to residents as Christmas approaches.
A Green Avenue condominium’s storage locker facility was broken into on Nov. 23, reports Penticton RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Ted Muchalenko.
Police are unsure exactly what was taken as not all residents have accounted for their lockers yet.
On Nov. 24, mailboxes located at the corner of Lakehill Road and Ponderosa Avenue in Kaleden were also broken into.
Mailbox holders are in the process of assessing their losses.
“People are receiving more and more items in the mail as Christmas approaches. Residents should make it a practice to empty their mailboxes daily,” Muchalenko says.
