BARRIERE – Locals in need of emergency care today won't be able to access the Barriere Heath Centre emergency department.
Lack of staffing has prompted the closure of emergency department today, May 24, according to a release from the Interior Health Authority.
The release states residents should call 911 in case of an emergency or attend the emergency department in Kamloops or Clearwater.
HealthLink BC is available for those unsure of the need to attend an emergency room 24 hours per day by phone at 811.
