ELLIOT LAKE, Ont. - A funeral will be held today for one of the women killed when the roof of a mall collapsed in Elliot Lake, Ont.
Doloris Perizzolo, 74, is to be buried at Woodlands Cemetery, steps away from the waters of Elliot Lake in the western part of the city.
Perizzolo and Lucie Aylwin, 37, were killed on June 23 when the roof of the Algo Centre Mall caved in and plummeted two floors down into the building.
Provincial police said Tuesday that they are conducting a criminal investigation into the collapse because of information obtained as they helped the Ontario Chief Coroner's office investigate the two deaths.
The Ministry of Labour is also conducting an investigation, but has said its probe will not look into the cause of the collapse.
Premier Dalton McGuinty has announced there will be a public inquiry into the collapse at the mall.
