PENTICTON - A poll conducted by the Dogwood Initiative indicates the federal electoral race tightening up in the South Okanagan-West Kootenay riding.
The poll places NDP candidate Dick Cannings in first place, in spite of a decline in support, while Conservative Marshall Neufeld holds second place.
Liberal candidate Connie Denesiuk continues to gain ground, while Green candidate Samantha Troy, a late entry into the election, remains in fourth place.
The poll surveyed 301 adult residents of the South Okanagan-West Kootenay riding by telephone between Oct. 5 to 10. The survey was statistically weighted according to Canadian census figures for age, gender and region.
