KELOWNA - Starting next week, Ebus will expand its service to include a stop in West Kelowna.

The new stop will be on Dobbin Road in front of Scotiabank, according to a news release issued by Ebus today, Nov. 29.

Ebus is a private bus company based in Alberta that is filling gaps in bus service created by Greyhound ceased operations in Western Canada last month.

“This stop will add increased connectivity for visitors and residents in the City of West Kelowna as well as the surrounding areas, including the nearby communities in the Southern Okanagan,” Ebus communications and marketing manager Leigh Arba says in the release.

The service will start on Monday, Dec. 3 and the location will be an eastbound curbside stop on Dobbin Road.

Although it will be a scheduled stop, advance reservations are recommended, Arba says. People with existing reservations at the Kelowna Airport that would like to get off or get on in West Kelowna are welcome to do so.

Arba says Ebus has been working with the City of West Kelowna for many weeks to improve their services to the city.
