KAMLOOPS - An early morning crash on Highway 5A has claimed the life of one person after a transport truck went off the road south of Kamloops today.
A southbound transport truck loaded with lumber went off the road and down a steep embankment near Cardu Hill on Highway 5A around 3:15 a.m., today, April 26, RCMP say in a release.
One person died in the crash, Sgt. Mike Pears says in the release.
The cause of the collision is currently unknown. A collision reconstructionist is on scene and the investigation is ongoing.
