One person was arrested during police raids on two homes in West Kelowna following a month-long drug trafficking investigation.

RCMP say officers seized a large quantity of drugs and cash, along with three guns during the execution of search warrants yesterday, June 16, at residences in the 3200 block of Deer Ridge Court and the 3000 block of Sundance Drive in Kelowna.

“This investigation has direct ties to the drug trade within the City of Kelowna, even though the search warrants were executed in the City of West Kelowna,” RCMP Cpl. Jeff Carroll with the drug section said in the release.

Police found fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine, three firearms, a Taser-style weapon and thousands of dollars in cash, according to an RCMP media release.

Officer also seized a luxury travel trailer, a personal watercraft and a luxury vehicle.

A 33-year-old man was arrested but later released. RCMP do not say if he has a court date or what charge he might face.

Police do say the matter will be “submitted to Public Prosecution Service of Canada for consideration of charges.”
