KAMLOOPS - A driver is in hospital after losing control of his vehicle and going off the road in the Juniper Ridge area early this morning.

It appears the male driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle on Highland Road, crashed through a cement barricade and rolled his pickup truck shortly after 2 a.m., Jan. 26, Staff Sgt. Edward Preto of Kamloops RCMP says in a release.

The driver has transported to Royal Inland Hospital with serious injuries.

An RCMP traffic analyst remains on scene and traffic will remain single lane alternating until the investigation is complete.
