Don't just sit back, do something captivating

The Vernon Women in Business Leadership conference will inspire and captivate attendees Oct. 25 at the Vernon Golf and Country Club.

You may wonder how is it that some people manage to climb mountains, stay focused in high stress situations and become aces in their fields all while staying motivated.

The key to such success will be revealed during the Vernon Women in Business Leadership Conference Friday, October 25.

The day of inspiration, motivation and captivation at the Vernon Golf and Country Club is open to all, not just VWIB members, and iNFOnews.ca is proud to be a media sponsor of the incredible day which runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Facilitating the day will be Faith Wood, a returning favourite of VWIB’s Leadership Conference. Her captivating communication style has brought her back to the conference. Wood is a professional speaker and coach for over 15 years, and an award winning author of fiction and nonfiction genres.

Mark Jennings-Bates, known as the Battle Captain for his calm and clear thinking under pressure from his military training, is one of the day’s featured speakers.

He lives a dynamic and exciting life and experiences critical decision making in high stress environments.

With 43 years participating in outdoor adventure and business, Jennings-Bates has a vast depth of experiences to draw on and assist participants.

This captivating speaker began his business endeavors and adventure activities at just 11 years old with a small home-based printing business.

As the conference progresses, there will be lunch and networking. The second keynote speaker, Crystal Flaman will have participants wanting to hear more.

Flaman combines her positive, energetic and dynamic personality with her success as an entrepreneur to bring a clear message to all.

As a business consultant and professional speaker, Flaman inspires people to achieve their dreams, goals and potential. She speaks from the heart and serves as a tangible example of her beliefs.

This message is brought to light when audiences learn that she is a successful entrepreneur, consultant and athlete. She has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities, including the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and Partners in The Horn of Africa.

Along with her twin sister, the pair rode the first ever tandem bike across Canada, cycling 7906 kms raising over $500,000. Flaman’s successes don’t end there.

A member of the Canadian Junior Chamber, Flaman has won many local and national awards, and was honoured as Canada’s National Effective Speaking Champion. She went on to represent Canada against winners from other nations and placed second in this international competition.

Flaman attributes the great personal fulfillment and professional success that she has achieved in her life to four major factors: determination and an incredible ability to set goals, focus and creating vision for the future, an insatiable desire for learning, an ability to establish oneself in the community, to make connections and have a desire to help others achieve their dreams and the support of family and friends.

Flaman will show participants how to achieve their goals, objectives and dreams by focusing on themselves, their passion and strengths and their vision for the future.
