WEST KELOWNA - Police are looking for help from the public as they investigate a suspicious vehicle fire that happened last night in West Kelowna.

Police have seized the charred vehicle and are looking for persons of interest who may be related to the incident.

RCMP and West Kelowna Fire Department responded to the 911 call in the 3500 block of Carrington Road on Feb. 12 at 10:09 p.m, Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a release.

A brown Dodge Ram was on fire when crews arrived.

“Preliminary findings at the scene suggest that the fire may have been intentionally set,” O’Donaghey says in the release. “The charred vehicle has been seized by RCMP, it remains part of the ongoing police investigation and will be examined for evidence by fire and forensic investigators.”

O’Donaghey says officers are looking for the registered owner and occupants of a newer model white Nissan Titan pick up truck. Police were told they may be related to the incident.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the West Kelowna Detachment at 250-768-2880. Remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, leave a tip online at www.crimestoppers.net or text tips to CRIMES (274637) with keyword ktown.
