OFFICIAL COMMUNITY PLAN BYLAW NO. 1600, AMENDMENT BYLAW NO. 2147, 2016
Council adopted Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1600, Amendment Bylaw No. 2147. The bylaw supports the removal of the requirement to complete an "Upper Princeton Area Sector Plan" from the OCP for the area described as "Upper Princeton" including 4956 Princeton Avenue.

CANADA 150 COMMITTEE INITIATIVES – EARLY BUDGET APPROVAL
Council approved an early budget request in the amount of $6,000 for the purpose of undertaking several Canada 150 Committee initiatives to celebrate Canada’s 150 birthday, including:
• Historic Water Way
• Historic Scavenger Hunt
• Arial photo of the Peachland Elementary School children
• Future 2017 project allocations

RENOVATION FOR 4440 5TH STREET – EARLY BUDGET APPROVAL
Council approved an early budget request in the amount of $25,000 for the purpose of renovating a house located at 4440 5th Street in order to accommodate the Community Policing Office, Storage Space and Community Board Room for the Lion's Club. The relocation of the Community Policing Office and Lion's Club is to allow their current location to accommodate the construction of the affordable seniors' housing complex.

RE-PAVING OF HIGHWAY 97
Council directed the Chief Administrative Officer to meet with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure District Transport Manager, Jack Bennetto to relay their disappointment that Highway 97 through Peachland is not slated to be re-paved until 2018.

RENFREW ROAD SLIDE – UPDATE
Council received an update on the status of the Renfrew Road Slide, including:
• The fenced of area of Renfrew Road is undermined and further sluffing (small
crumbling) can be expected
• Traffic lights with a 2 minute time system have been set up on Renfrew Road South
• All homes in the area are again serviced by sewer
• All except one home has driveway access
• The slide location is not the same location as the shoulder slide in 2016
• A drone was used to take pictures of the area in order to determine the damages
• Options are being reviewed for a solution; and
• There is no need for concerns
