WEST KELOWNA - West Kelowna RCMP have stood down on the death of a Vernon woman they once deemed suspicious and where they at one point said the risk to the public was unknown.

Police no longer suspect “criminality” in the death of 29-year-old Jordyn Kitchener, RCMP media officer Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey said in a press release, and the investigation is now in the hands of the B.C. Coroners Service.

Kitchener’s remains were found in a home in the 1300 block of Ponderosa Road in West Kelowna in the early hours of June 29.

RCMP aren't saying how she died.
