KAMLOOPS - A heads up for some Kamloops parents this morning, Oct. 25, Dallas Elementary School will be closed for the day.

Principal Jake Schmidt says sprinklers went off in the school overnight forcing the Kamloops Fire Department to call for a closure.

"The fire department has closed us today because the sprinklers went off last night," Schmidt says.

No word yet on what caused the sprinklers to go off, but Schmidt says he expects the school to be open for classes tomorrow.
