Oliver RCMP are looking for witnesses following a collision which left a foreign worker in critical condition on Wednesday.
Police responded to a a collision on Sept. 9 around 8:10 p.m. on Highway 97 near Road 1 involving an SUV and a cyclist.
Sgt. Jason Bayda of the Oliver RCMP said in a press release early indications are the cyclist was southbound, wearing dark clothing on a black coloured bicycle on the shoulder of Highway 97.
A Dodge Durango, also southbound, approached the cyclist, who suddenly turned in front of the SUV, colliding with it.
The cyclist, a 33-year-old man, suffered critical life-threatening injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.
RCMP would like to speak to anyone who witnesses the collision who have not already spoken with police, in addition to anyone who has a dash camera that was travelling in the area at the time. They are asked to contact Oliver RCMP at 250-498-3422.
