If you want to shop at Walmart in Canada, you're going to have to wear a mask.
Starting on Aug. 12, customers shopping at one of the more than 400 Walmart stores across the country will need to wear a mask or other face covering, according to an emailed statement from Walmart Canada.
"Health Canada has identified that, when worn properly, a person wearing a mask or face covering can reduce the spread of his or her own infectious respiratory droplets," Walmart Canada manager of corporate affairs Felicia Fefer said in the statement.
"In addition, over 60 percent of our more than 400 stores are in regions of the country where there is some form of local government mandate on face coverings."

Walmart already requires masks to be worn by customers at all of its U.S. stores.
Fefer said customers have been doing a good job at following mask policies when mandated by local governments and trusts that customers will continue to do so in the remainder of the stores.
Customers are expected to bring their own face coverings when they shop.
