Crystal meth possession leads to arrests

Crystal meth possession led to the arrests of a young woman and a male teenager on Skaha Lake Road yesterday.

PENTICTON - A young woman, 19, was busted for trafficking meth in the 2700 block of Skaha Lake Road yesterday.

She was arrested for trafficking and for crystal meth possession for the purpose of trafficking after police found a few grams of the drug on her person. The woman did not have a criminal record and was released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released by police as she has yet to be formally charged.

A 16-year-old male youth was also arrested for a carrying a concealed and prohibited weapon. He was released to a "responsible adult."
