A semi truck has crashed on Highway 3 near Grand Forks closing the route in both directions.

Highway 3 is expected to reopen later this afternoon after a logging truck crashed and closed the route to traffic in both directions.
The crash on Highway 3 happened approximately 10 kilometres west of Grand Forks between Thimble Mountain Trailhead and Spencer Street, according to Drive B.C.
No detours are available and crews are assessing the damage, Drive B.C. said.

Crews are hoping to have the highway reopened by 3 p.m. today, Nov. 19.
