An Okanagan Falls woman and her child died in a T-bone collision near Sicamous yesterday morning.
Sicamous RCMP is investigating the collision, which occurred just after 9 a.m. on the 1800-block of the Trans-Canada Highway.
Investigators believe the 45-year-old woman, who was travelling eastbound in her pickup truck, veered into the oncoming lane in front of an oncoming semi-truck, according to an RCMP news release.

The two vehicles met in a T-bone collision despite the semi driver's attempts to evade the woman and her child, RCMP said.
"While the investigation remains in the very early stages, speed and alcohol have been ruled out and it appears that winter road conditions may have contributed to this tragic collision. Our thoughts are with the woman’s family at this very difficult time," Sgt. Murray McNeil said in the release.
Police said the identities of the woman and child will not be made public.
