KAMLOOPS - Emergency crews are on the scene of a two-vehicle crash in Rayleigh this morning.
Kamloops RCMP say at about 8:30 a.m., Dec. 19, officers were called to a two-vehicle crash with injuries on Highway 5 North near Devick Road.
First responders are still on scene tending to the injured occupants and an investigation into the crash is underway, according to a RCMP media release.
Highway 5 is closed northbound and southbound traffic is being detoured onto Devick Road, police say.
"As there will be added congestion in this area, police are asking for public assistance and patience as it is anticipated that this matter will not be resolved for several hours," Const. Jason Epp says in the release. "Kamloops RCMP would like to remind motorists to slow down in adverse winter conditions and drive relative to conditions."
