A COVID-19 outbreak was declared on a ward at Kelowna General Hospital yesterday.
Interior Health said the outbreak was declared yesterday, Jan. 11, on ward 3 West at the hospital.
No further details are listed on Interior Health’s Health Facility outbreak webpage.
Three West is described on a different Interior Health web page as a general and thoracic surgery ward.
An outbreak was declared at The Hamlets long-term care home in Vernon on Jan. 9, and Sun Pointe Village care facility in Kelowna on Jan. 7.
There are more than 40 outbreaks in health-care facilities in B.C., including four in the Interior Health region.

An outbreak was declared at Mount Cartier Court long-term care home in Revelstoke on Jan. 1.
Interior Health’s webpage also lists outbreaks for things like gastrointestinal and respiratory infections.
