With only 153 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the Interior Health region has recorded its lowest daily count since early August.
Those cases made up some of the 677 new cases in B.C. as a whole, according to a Government of B.C. news release issued today, Sept. 14.

The Fraser Health region is now showing higher counts than the Interior most days, with 237 new cases. There were 102 in the Vancouver Coastal health region, 99 in the Northern health region and 86 on Vancouver Island.
Despite the somewhat lower numbers, there are still 6,165 active cases in B.C. of which 1,583 are in Interior Health. There are 288 people in B.C. hospitals of which 140 are in intensive care.
Only one new death was reported, in the Northern health region, bringing the provincial total to 1,866.
The vaccination rate for people over the age of 12 has reached 86% for a first dose and 78.5% for a second dose.
