The number of new COVID-19 cases in the Interior Health region dropped last week to 185 from the 214 recorded the week before.
The most dramatic decrease was in the Kamloops Local Health Area stretching from Barriere to Logan Lake and Chase.
There were only 56 new cases in the area from March 14 and 20, according to the latest data posted on the B.C. Centre for Disease Control website. There were 100 new cases recorded the week before.

Central Okanagan cases dropped to 70 from 88 the week before, Vernon was down to 18 from 26 while Penticton only recorded one new case versus seven the week before.
The weekly case count of 185 for the Interior Health region, which has close to 800,000 residents, was lower last week than the Northern Health region that recorded 212 cases amongst about 300,000 residents.
