COVID-19 rapid antigen tests are currently unavailable at Interior Health collection centres in Kelowna and West Kelowna.
COVID-19 testing by appointment continues to be available, according to a press release issued by Interior Health.
Appointments can be made through the COVID-19 Test Booking Form 24 hours a day, or by calling 1-877-740-7747 for assistance between 8a.m. to 7 p.m., PST, seven days a week.
A COVID-19 test is not necessary when:
• You have no symptoms, even if you are a close contact of someone who has tested positive.
• You are experiencing symptoms and can manage your illness at home. Self-isolate for five days and until you feel well enough to resume your regular activities. Notify your close contacts so they can self-monitor for symptoms.
PCR tests are by appointment at community collection centres and are prioritized for people at higher risk including: those aged 66 and older, children aged 4 and younger, healthcare workers and people living in congregate settings where isolation from others is difficult.
More information on COVID-19 testing can be found online through Interior Health.
Collection centres are located in Kelowna at 2180 Ethel Street and in Unit 110, 2300 Carrington Road in West Kelowna.
