COVID-19 outbreak at Creekside Landing in Vernon

A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Creekside Landing in Vernon, with two residents and two staff members testing positive for the disease.

All individuals in close contact with the individuals are in self-isolation and monitoring for symptoms,  Interior Health reported in a press release sent Sunday, Jan. 3.

The family of the residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been contacted directly.

Creekside Landing has implemented a temporary stop to visits as the outbreak is dealt with.

Creekside Landing is privately owned and operated by Kaigo Retirement Communities Ltd., with 70 publicly funded long-term care beds. It also has assisted and independent living residences, none of which are impacted by the outbreak.
